Monster 1200R diperkenalkan secara
terbuka diFrankfurt motor show Jerman. Sang naked menjadi top level dari
line up Monster diatas 1200S. Tidak heran pabrikan Bologna meracik
ulang dapur pacu hingga tembus 160 HP@9250 RPM. Kenaikan akibat
perombakan pada jerohan piston, throttle body, diameter exhaust lebih
besar, silincer model baru, peningkatan kompresi plus revisi inlet
manifold. Jadi memang lumayan banyak mzbro. Itu sisi dalam. Piye dengan
bagian luar??….
Monster 1200R dicangkokin rem lebih
besar, suspensi Ohlins terbaru, sasis teralis subframe baru, peningkatan
ground clearance, steering damper yang bisa diadjust serta model
dashboard full color agar pembalap merasakan perbedaan nongkrong diatas
Monster tertinggi. R Model juga tidak hanya bisa digunakan dijalanan.
Ducati mengatakan…R type harus siap digunakan turun disirkuit jika
dibutuhkan. Makanya jangan kaget kalau sampeyan perhatikan akan menemui
pelk model mirip Panigale 1299 yang dikawinkan dengan ban belakang
Pirelli SuperCorsa berukuran 200/55….Brembo M50 4 piston dengan piringan
twin 330 mm dan belakang twin piston 245mm. Tak lupa perangkat ABS
Bosch menjadi komponen wajib sang monster….
Last…..Monster 1200R dibekali Ducati
Traction Control system dengan 3 riding mode yakni Sport, Touring dan
Urban. Saat sport mode aktif….maka muntahan power yang murni tersalur
mencapai 160 hp. Sementara untuk urban mode elektronik akan mengatur
supaya tenaga tersalur keroda lebih jinak dikisaran 100hp.
Hebatnya..dengan segala keunggulan….Ducati Monster 1200R diklaim sudah
masuk Euro 4 sehingga emisi gas buang sangat ramah lingkungan. Sayang
hingga detik ini belum tergali banderol pasti sang Monster. Penasaran
